Our day, and follow up programs are available to patients after hospital admission, and patients who have not had an inpatient stay at Abbotsford Private Hospital before. You will have an assessment with one of our treating Psychiatrists before starting a program.

In Recovery 

Designed for individuals actively engaged in recovery from substance use or other behavioural health challenges. The group focuses on maintaining sobriety, building healthy coping strategies, strengthening motivation, and fostering peer support. 

Building Healthy Relationships

Focuses on developing the skills needed to build and maintain healthy, supportive relationships. Participants learn effective communication, boundary-setting, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence. The group helps individuals strengthen interpersonal connections while fostering self-awareness and mutual respect.

In Recovery – Addiction First Step

A structured, therapeutic program designed to support individuals in the early stages of recovery from substance use.  This group provides a safe and support environment to explore the impact of addiction, build insight an develop foundational coping strategies for change. 

Building Resilience – Safe Trauma

This program emphasises safety, trust and empowerment, allowing members to share experiences at their own pace.  It also focuses on building resilience and healthy coping strategies to support recovery and improve overall wellbeing.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

This program teaches skills to manage intense emotions improve relationships and reduce self destructive behaviours.  The program focuses on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.  Sessions are designed to support individuals struggling with emotional dysregulation.
