Dr Riaz is a Consultant Psychiatrist who specialises in General Adult Psychiatry, Transcultural Psychiatry, Addictive Disorders, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Psychosis, and ADHD.
Dr Riaz is a Comorbidity and Dual Diagnosis specialist. He also offers Telehealth, Skype and DVA consultations.
Dr Riaz is entirely patient-focused in the provision of patient care. his dedicated philosophy that 'patients come first' ensures that he is best placed to provide the best and latest interventions, coupled with working in a multidisciplinary team environment to obtain the most favourable outcomes for his patients. He adopts an eclectic and psychodynamic therapy approach to treatment.
Dr Riaz gained his Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) in Australia, commencing his training in Townsville, Queensland and completing it in Perth, Western Australia.
Dr Riaz has worked within the Australian Psychiatric field since 1997. He has worked rurally and in the public health system in Townsville before moving to Western Australia where he worked at Graylands Hospital, Community Mental Health Clinics, and the private sector.
Dr Riaz now works in full time private practice and has admitting rights to Healthe Care Australia's two private mental health facilities in Western Australia- Abbotsford Hospital and The Marian Centre.
Dr Riaz is fluent in multiple languages including Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi, and English. he is able to also offer consultations in these languages.
