Dr Andrew Ntsowe

Dr Andrew Ntsowe is a Consultant Psychiatrist who specialises in General Adult Psychiatry, Youth Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. He also provides He also provides specialist treatment for Psychotic Disorders Anxiety & Mood Disorders, and Personality Disorders. 

He offers assessments and treatment for military related mental health problems, and tele-health psychiatry. Dr Ntsowe takes a holistic approach to the treatment of his patients with a combination of psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy and lifestyle modification. Dr Ntsowe completed his medical training in South Africa and did all his psychiatry specialist training in Sydney, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. He also holds a Master of Brain and Mind Sciences from the University of Sydney, a Master of Psychiatry from the New South Wales Institute of Psychiatry plus Psychoanalytic Training in the Conversational Model for treatment of Borderline Personality and other Mental Disorders from the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy. He also works part-time in the public system where he also serves as the Specialist Coordinator of Training in Psychotherapy for Rural Psychiatry Training. 

He teaches and supervises psychotherapy. Dr Ntsowe has worked extensively in the Australian public system for 17 years and acquired experience in various subspecialties of psychiatry. He is also trained in Youth Mental Health.
