MOVE FOR MOVEMBER CHALLENGE 2020

Globally, one man takes his own life every minute, of every day. This Movember, we’re committing to making a Move – for them. A 60 minute challenge for the 60 men we lose to suicide each and every hour, across the world.

MAKE YOUR MOVE!

Movember looks at mental health through a male lens, focusing on prevention, early intervention and health promotion. Men are dying before their time. But you can help us change and SAVE lives.

Poor mental health does not discriminate and touches the lives of many around the globe. Almost half (48.1%) of Australian men experience a mental health issue in their lifetime.

Being active is one of the best things you can do to improve your general well-being and mental health, so it's important to MOVE on a regular basis. Being active:

• Helps prevent or manage depression and anxiety

• Improves your general health and wellbeing

• Reduces your risk of heart disease, diabetes and cancer by up to 50%

• Lowers your risk of early death by up to 30%

SEEKING SUPPORT
If someone you care about seems to be going through a tough time (which many of us are in the current climate of COVID-19), they might not talk about it even if they want to. The first step in looking out for them is reaching out.
Starting a conversation and asking, 'Are you Okay?' could be the one that saves a life. However, sometimes it’s hard to know what to do, where to start or what to say to a friend or loved one who may be struggling. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t hesitate to reach out to us for support.
If you or someone you know needs a helping hand with their mental health, we are here for you. Our dedicated and experienced teams are only a phone call away.
