2021 Mental Health Week Art Show

We're going virtual! Please come back between Sunday 10th October to Friday 22nd October to view our entries and cast your vote for our 2021 Art Show in support of WA Mental Health Week.

The People's Choice Award voting link will be found at the bottom of the page. Entries close 5pm Wednesday 6th October.

In celebration of Mental Health Week, Abbotsford Private Hospital would like to invite past and present Abbotsford Private Hospital artists to participate in the 2021 Mental Health Week Art Show.

The art show will be held on this page from Sunday 10th October to Friday 22nd October.

Artists are asked to provide a hi-resolution, scanned artwork inspired by the theme.

The art show will be judged by a panel including our art therapist and CEO, Jane Dowling.

Categories and prizes include:

  • 1st place - (open to past and current patients) $300
  • 2nd place - (open to past and current patients) $200
  • 3rd Place - (open to past and current patients) $100
  • People's choice - (open to the staff and the community) $300

Voting for the People's Choice Award will be open for the duration of the online show, with both winners being announced via our social pages on Monday 25th October.

Terms and conditions:

Artwork must be original and the property of the entrant.

Hi-resolution, scanned artwork must be emailed to [email protected] between Monday 20th September and 5pm Wednesday 6th October.

Entries received after this time will not be exhibited in the art show.

Entrants are permitted to submit a maximum of 2 original pieces.

Winners will be announced at 10am on Monday 25 October via Facebook and notified by phone and email.

Images of the artwork may also be used in future Abbotsford Private Hospital promotional items and social media.

Artwork will be judged on individuality and the judge’s decision is final.

Artwork must be accompanied by entry information including:

  • Entrant's name,
  • Entrant's phone,
  • Hospital name,
  • Artwork name; and
  • A short paragraph about the artwork and the inspiration linking to Mental Health Week.
